William C. Forbus Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Background
A fixture in the Starkville community, Forbus, a State Farm agent for 43 years serves in many capacities, including the Palmer Home for Children Board of Trustees, as an Elder at First Presbyterian Church and with the Oktibbeha County Republican Party as the elected chair of the municipal committee, which he has served on for 36 years. Forbus is also a Rotarian and is active with the Golden Triangle Celts. Forbus is a 1960 industrial management engineering alumnus of Mississippi State University and participated as a cheerleader at MSU. He is a native of Amory.
Criteria
Candidates for the William C. Forbus Memorial Endowed Scholarship must meet the following criteria:
- Be a full-time student at MSU who is a veteran enrolled in the College of Business
- Preference will be given to a non-traditional student.
